tom trinkotom trinko was found under a rock by a wandering tribe of Albanian nuclear physicists. Used as a radioactive source for a series of illegal interstellar rocket tests during his youth he finally escaped by imitating a government bureaucrat and boring his captors into a coma. He made his fortune by suing the developer of the pet rock for copying his personality. Financially independent he settled down to a life of leisure in the American Midwest. Unfortunately he lost his wealth through a bad investment in a biotechnology company which was attempting to develop a mouse which looked like Elvis. Forced to wander the world he started taking odd jobs as a lowly computer programmer. When he started programming in 1972 he had to carve his code in stone cards while fighting off viscous pteranadons. Work on a wide spectrum of main frames and mini computers-- large piece of furniture size that is--followed. He pioneered 3D data visualization in the early 1980s. Since then he's stayed on the cutting edge of computer technology. To pay for his computer habit he's written a bunch of computer articles for magazines like MacTech, MacTutor, and Cobbs Pure Java Developer Journal. He's authored books on Mac Scripting as well as chapters on the AWT and security for SAMS Java Developer Reference. He's been working with Java since time immemorial. He's written a variety of applets ranging from Neon Glow which turns any gif into a neon sign to a cellular automata engine. His applications include one which tests the links on any page to see if they're valid--rated Cool by Gamelon-- and one that alphabetizes your Netscape Navigator bookmark file. He's currently trying to create an HTML page with subliminal messages so that everyone who reads his articles will send him lots of money. |
